Whinnie runs Poodle& Blonde, her unique interiors range selling wallpaper, cushions and interiors objects.
She started her career in art and design and originally did an art foundation at university. She then went on to Wimbledon College Of Design to do a Set Design Degree.
During her time off at uni, she started writing songs and was signed by Universal Records, so she decided to leave and become a musician. She toured for three years with Ellie Goulding, released a clothing collection for Fire Trap, worked on a track with Professor Green and performed for Dolce & Gabanna & Mulberry.
Whinnie then signed to Sony and bought her first flat at the age of 23. Due to her artistic background, she decorated her flat uniquely which led to Top Shop using her flat as a shoot location. This sparked Whinnies interest in renovating properties for photographic shoots. She then decided to move to Ilford, and renovated a 1970’s house which emulated the style of the hit series ‘only fools and horses’.
After two years, Whinnie decided she wanted a larger challenge, so she bought a Victorian 5 bedroom house in Margate and spent a year ripping out most of the walls and re-designing it. This location house ‘Marvellous Margate’ mixes 1950 and 70’s themes and is also home to Whinnie and her 18 pets. 2019 has seen Whinnie’s unique Margate home featured in Stella Magazine, Elle Deco and a ‘interiors piece’ on her and Poodle & Blonde in Refinery29.
Whinnie has also been presenting the BBC 3 series ‘Flat Out Fabulous’ with Tyler West, where viewers see her making over properties for ‘generation rent’ clients.
Known for her unique style, Whinnie is available for ‘influencer campaigns’.
