Following Sunday’s Closing Ceremony spectacle, the lights were shone brightly on the British Fashion scene, namely its biggest contenders; Erdem, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham, Stephen Jones, Paul Smith, Jonathan Saunders, Christopher Kane, and Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

From seasoned superstars (Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell) to up-and-comers (Georgia May Jagger and Jourdan Dunn), the supermodel gang showed themselves a match for any nation.

Of course, these big names are only a snippet of everything that is British Fashion at the moment, with a huge range of lesser known designers making names for themselves. We’ve asked 2 of our stylists - Gemma Rose Bregerand Sara Hassanfor their top favourite British labels and what makes them stand out from the crowd….

Gemma Rose Breger, Stylist: “My favourite British designer at the moment is Henry Holland. His irreverent style and tongue in cheek prints for his label House of Holland are an excellent combination of fashion. I love how he also dresses the part as it shows his wild imagination.” Check out Gemma’s style blog athttp://www.wearisitfrom.blogspot.co.uk/

Sara Hassan, Stylist: “I love Giles for his lady like evening wear and uber luxurious fabric choices - especially the metallics in his spring summer show. Gareth Pugh is great for the punk esque drama of his designs - just like art work challenging our fashion ideals. Finally Bora Aksu for his romanticism through cultural and ethnic references. These designers for me really bring a sense of creativity to british fashion.”
