Vintage Train Station

Stunning renovated Victorian station building is a Grade II listed Victorian property constructed in 1862. The building is of significant historical interest as it was the first station in 1867 used by Queen Victoria.  The station was lovingly restored to its original glory in 2018/19.   The building consists of three rooms; a Booking Hall (11.5 m x 6.5 m), a Luggage Room (6 m x 5 m) and a Café (5m x 5m).

Internally the station retains many of original features such as high ceilings, plaster mouldings/cornices, fireplaces, windows and doors.  There are also original artefacts inside the building including Victorian clocks, platform weighing scales, a waiting room bench, mirrors, coat rack, telephone and the original ticket desk.  Externally there is an original platform bench, black heritage style gates and railings, Victorian style lighting and signage in the classic British Rail totem style.
