The Gate Hotel
A large Victorian terrace located on the north side of London's Hyde Park. Built in the 1856 as a private residence in the English Baroque style, the property was run as a hotel between 1925 and 2007. The recent removal of false ceilings and partition walls from this period has revealed the opulent volumes and distressed plasterwork of the Victorian original. The stripped back walls reveal an enigmatic, layered history and serve as the perfect backdrop for photography and film projects.
Located on the Central line, a short drive from Mayfair, Notting Hill and Kensington. The building is secured and alarmed. Power points are provided. Toilets onsite.
